first day in CHINA!

HEY FAN CLUB! I am blogging on Microsoft word from my room at the moment because there is not internet in my room temporarily. Ill have to travel up to my 24 hrs restaurant at level 6 called ‘Level 6’ Restaurant. HAHA. I didn’t sleep well on the plane, as usual, the downside of being tall = no place to stretch your fucking legs. Haha. When I reached Beijing airport at 6.30am in the morning. OMG, ITS LIKE SO BEAUTIFUL THANKS TO THE OLYMPICS. NICE SIA! I told myself the next time ill be there will be on the way home back to Singapore. =) oh they have Ajisen, BK, Mackers, KFC, Starbucks, Hagen Daz here. Its like SINGAPORE? So don’t come and tell me China is a backward country, ur fucking brain is backward. Ate at some noodle restaurant, you have to get used to the salt and oil here, its like a food commodity. Took a domestic flight to my hometown, Jinan, THE FUCKER CONFISCATED BEN’S GIFT AT THE AIRPORT, HE PROBABLY LIKES IT AND WANTS TO OWN IT FOR HIMSELF. Ruined my bloody mood. Haha.

REACHED JINAN! At about 1030am, saw zhenshun (my secondary school friend who was working here for the past semester) and finally get to pass my 2KG BAH KUA to him. Id rather they confiscated those pork, KIDDING DUDE. Took a van to the hotel. I shall not talk about air pollution here, smoking is allowed everywhere, so you can almost imagine. There are only 3 five-star hotels in JINAN, Crowne Plaza, and 2 more that I cant remember the name, OH WELLS. They do not have sliding doors over here, instead REVOLVING DOORS, WAY COOLER THEN SINGAPORE MAN.

Settled down in my room, had a free intercontinental buffet in the restaurant, I REALISED THAT I CAN EAT THERE FOR FREE ON MY OFF DAYS INSTEAD OF STAFF CANTEEN. HAHAHAHA SUCK THAT. They have Italian food, Brazilian grill, asian food, fresh seafood, dim sum, Indian curry, western food, and the MOST AMAZING DESSERT COUNTER EVER. I will control myself.
Then we had a room tour. HAHA. PROOF THAT THIS IS A BLOODY FIVE-STAR HOTEL IS HERE. I INTRODUCE YOU THE ONE AND ONLY PRESENDENTIAL SUITE.

18,000RMB per night.
Next but not least, the AMBASSADOR SUITE.

10,000RMB per night.

They have this available in every room.

Went to buy things that I need which I am short of. It feels good to be able to choose your own design of things, make your own decision on what you need, im not complaining! Things here are generally cheaper, but still there is a chance you will buy things that you don’t need. CONTROL MAN. They have Carrefour, Walmart and a few local supermarkets here. I have to be so careful with my things, quote from Vincent ‘whats behind is not yours, whats beside belongs to the person next to you, only whats in front belongs to you’. Then we had dinner at this beef noodles restaurant.

It costs 10RMB for small, 11RMB for large. I am taking the large one.

Went for more shopping, bought phone card, its 11 numbers here, so stop complaining when the government ask you to add a 6 in front of all residential numbers you spoilt brats. Went for a drink with the western ANG MOH chef. HIS LIKE 23 YEAR OLD AND LOOK, HE LIVES IN A SUITE HERE, AND GETS HIGH PAY TO ENJOYING DOING WHAT HIS DOING. His funny, he has a Chinese girlfriend that will be joining him here soon. AWWWWW. He says the girls here are better then NZ (his hometown). I refused to agree. His here a month earlier then me, so his glad there are more English speaking people here now, CHEERS DUDE.

10RMB per bottle of Corona, courtesy of Corey (the chef)

Went back to the hotel, took my laptop to the restaurant and had a fun time talking on skype in English and hokkien. YAY!
Till the next time I blog, I miss you.

S-Shaped Durians

Chinglish. =)

XOXO,
Jeremy
